But the July 2nd decision was reversed later. Why did they not file then?
Besides, companies do not need to pay for 485. Makes no sense for them to pay for something that they do not have to.
On a separate note, does anyone know of any company which has discontinued GC processing because the new rule states the employer has to pay for PERM?

As most of you might know, there are a number of Immigration reform bills that are in various stages of their life in the US Congress. There is this 1 particular bill which is really important to people like us - Employment based legal immigrants from India & China: Bill 5882.
Highlights of the bill that are of use to EB applicants:
1) Would recapture unused Visas from past years and roll them over from one fiscal year to another.
2) EB 1, 2, 3 would become current and would remain current for quite a few years
I know some of you might have already got your greencard. But I am sure you know a number of others, many of them your close relatives and friends, who are stuck in this queue for a long time. If not for yourself, please take action for them.
1) Please go to http://www.opencongress.org/bill/110-h5882/show
Register your email address and vote YES for the bill.
How this helps: Online polling is an easy way for senators to gauge the popularity of a bill. If all the EB applicants were to VOTE yes, it
would take the number over 200,000 easily. The most popular bill has around 7000 votes. A bill on opencongress.com having 50,000 votes
is sure to garner a lot of attention.
2) Forward this email to all your friends and relatives who will benefit from this bill.
Only a systematic, organized online campaign would only us all to get LEGAL PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS in the USA.
Thanks for your time!
I am currently using EAD. My I-485 is pending status. I am planning to get married in India soon. She will be in India as I can not bring her on H4 and student visa is difficult. So dilemma is about 485 name addition. Can I add spouse's name in I-485 application whenever Priority Date is current?
If yes, then how does it work? I mean is it possible at all?
It is going to be difficult. She has to come in on some kind of dual-intent visa. She could come in on a student visa but would be difficult to prove that she does not intend to immigrate in the interview if they find out about your I-485. Alternatively, you would have to get a H1 and she would have to come in on a H4.
This is not legal advice, please consult a lawyer for your specific case.
Once you entered legally you should be able to get permanent residence even if you worked without authorization. Please see this blog post: Law Office of Elaine Martin - immigration news: My spouse is "illegal" - what can we do? (http://martinvisalaw.blogspot.com/2009/03/my-spouse-is-illegal-what-can-we-do.html).
Second in concern to the affidavit support how much should I show and who has to fill these forms since my future wife is unemployed.
Another common querstion so I blogged about this also: Law Office of Elaine Martin - immigration news: affidavit of support (http://martinvisalaw.blogspot.com/search/label/affidavit%20of%20support)
Third in case my wife file for bankruptcy in the future that could affect me and if it does how can avoid this. By the way I live in florida.
This is not an immigration question. You should check with a family or bankruptcy lawyer in Florida.

My only comparisons are the D1 and the D70, the former which I owned, and the latter which I used several times for several hours each. The D200 is definitely of a professional build, unlike the D70, but [speculation warning!] not quite as good as the D2 series. For a mixture of landscape and macro, with a bit of event photography thrown in (the latter being all that I've been able to do with it so far), it's everything I could have hoped for, and more.
Sadly, I haven't made any prints from it yet (partly due to not having time to shoot something that I consider worth wasting ink on), but I don't think that the resolution is going to be a problem for anything that the average amateur would want. It is even possible to crop a bit without worries. I anticipate that it will get a lot of use over spring break, and after that time I hope to write something to post to the user-contributed reviews section of the site. :)
